LOSCC vs Harlow CC
Not much to reprt apart from Messers Elliott and Burch padded up very well in the pouring rain of Harlow. A wasted trip but not devastating as we are still 3rd in the league thanks to our 4 points for an abandoned game.

Saturday 1st XI match report 14 May 2005
Big game for the boys as our first match was against a promoted team which we knew little to nothing about. A must win game if we are to entertain the thoughts of promotion.
As usual I lost the toss and we were put into bat. after a steady start we lost a couple of quick wickets but thanks to Mark Sexton we reached 228 all out which was a great effort and put us in the ascendency.
It was always going to be difficult to win games bowling second but we thought a bit of pressure from the off and we would see if this team (which had all of the weekes family tree involved) could handle it in our division.
From the off they just swung the bat (sometimes with their eyes closed) and at first it seemed to be coming off. However, The God Daddy which is Johhny Elliott came on and knocked the openers over in quick succession on his way to 7 for 26. He was ably supported by all of the bowlers but especially Brian Petitt making his come back to the first team after his heroics in the 4's last year who knocked over the other 3 wickets.
20 points and a good performance later I was a happy captain.
Man of the Match (in this case men of the match were: J Elliott 7-26 and M Sexton 87.
