Saturday 2nd XI - Match Report, 29th April 2006 – LOSCC v Brentwood.
Captain: Matthew Wallace
On winning the toss I put the opposition into bat on what looked a much drier, flatter surface.
Although we never threatened to bowl the visitors out we kept the run rate down and were tidy in the field, although the number of extras and a sedate over rate were a bit of a concern.
Despite loosing three early wickets the middle order consolidated the innings with Matthew Wallace (57), Robert Catchpole (24) and an aggressive 52 not out from David Catchpole seeing us over the winning line with the last ball of the game.
Result: LOSCC won by 3 wickets
Man of the Match: David Catchpole (2-28 & 52*).
